Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
