Intensive Russian Strikes Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles attacked energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults come after periods of air raids in the area, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were anticipating more assaults.
